Men want better birth control options

A recent article by Valerie Tarico highlighted the importance of – and interest in – what men think about new contraceptive methods. She cited a small survey conducted by a student intern on attitudes about male contraception. His findings indicated that interest in new contraceptive methods was related to concern for their partner, self-protection from unwanted pregnancy, better sex, autonomy and having fewer children. This survey reflects what many researchers have published – that a majority of men are willing to try new contraception and are eager for better options for reproductive control.
