Misdiagnosed food allergies a concern

Food allergy testing has become big business, but misdiagnosis often leads to inappropriate treatment and even poor nutrition. The Journal of the American Medical Association announced the publication of an article of a study by the American Academy of Allergy Asthma and Immunology in their June, 2014 issue. The JAMA column supports evidence-based evaluation of food allergies to avoid misdiagnosis and inappropriate management. Before you begin food allergy tests, be sure to get the most up to date information. Check out our Food Allergy Testing page for more information.
