Research finds support for acceptance of Vasalgel

Almost half of men participating in a survey said they would use Vasalgel if it were available. In the study recently published in Cogent Medicine, 146 men in New York with a median age of 24 years were interviewed about their attitudes toward Vasalgel. Aisha King and her colleagues reported that the men were very supportive of Vasalgel’s development and 78% thought it was an important invention. These results fit well with other published information on attitudes toward male contraception – summarized on our Media page. The authors also found that previous knowledge of Vasalgel was related to acceptability. So help us spread the word about Vasalgel and the need for male contraceptive options!
